Fees and help with childcare costs

Nursery fees

Your fees are agreed in writing before starting nursery. We usually issue invoices using Quickbooks software on the 1st for the month ahead. Deadline for payments is 10 days.

Holidays and sickness periods are fully payable, as are INSET days when we are closed for staff training. Continuous professional development is a requirement for all colleagues so that we remain eligible for Free Entitlement Provider Status.

Registration fee

£70 This is a one off non-refundable payment collected when a childcare place is confirmed.

Deposit

£500 – When a place has been offered to your child you will be asked to secure the place with the deposit. This sum has to be used as part of last month’s fee. No deposits will be refunded. In some circumstances agreed with management, we may accept partial payment or require no deposit.

Children on standard fees will pay the 2-3 year old rate the month after they turn two.

15 or 30 hours entitlement fees

New age brackets apply from the term after child’s 2nd or 3rd birthday.

child’s 3rd birthday is in September they will get the 3-4 year old funding from the Spring term

Extra days

£70/full day & £40/half day (8am-1pm or 1pm-6pm)

Settling in session

£40 – charged per session. In some circumstances and as agreed with management the settling in session is covered by the free entitlement hours.

Sibling discount

£50/month 2-3 days’ attendance or

£70/month 4-5 days’ attendance

Late collection fee

£5 for the first ten minutes.

Then £5 for every five minutes thereafter.

Late payment fee

£2 per day from the time you fall behind with the monthly fees

Notice period

We require at least 6 weeks notice period which includes a calendar month. This is to make sure that all deposits are used up and parents have time to cancel any further payments.

Tax Free Childcare

Tax Free Childcare can help with the cost of paying for childcare.

You’ll need to set up a childcare account, which both you and the government will pay into. You can then use this money to pay your childcare provider.

For every £8 you pay into the account, the government will top it up by £2.

The total top up you can get for each child is £500 every 3 months (up to £2,000 a year). This goes up to £1,000 every 3 months if your child is disabled (up to £4,000 a year).

You’ll usually need to be working (or returning to work) and your child must be 11 or younger (16 or younger if they’re disabled).

Your childcare provider must be signed up to the Tax-Free Childcare scheme. Before you apply, you’ll need to check with your provider that they’re already signed up.

Workplace Nursery Benefit

How does the Workplace Nursery Scheme work?

You can use the Workplace Nursery benefit at your choice of nursery
Any children up to the age of 5 can be covered by the Workplace Nursery Scheme
Your average fees must be over £890 per month to benefit from this scheme but there is no maximum fees that you can save Tax and NI on

How will this benefit me?

You can choose any approved nursery for your children
The Tax and NI savings are on the full amount of your nursery fees, savings of between 28% and 47% can be achieved
If your monthly nursery fees are £1,000, you can save around £4,150 per year as a higher rate tax payer and over £2,250 as a basic rate tax payer
We can provide Workplace Nursery even if you have Tax Free Childcare (TFC) or Childcare Vouchers
