Welcome to Seedlings Day Nursery

Seedlings is a popular independent day nursery located in South East London.

We first opened in 2004 to cater for local demand and offer full day care for children from 4 months to 5 years. In 2010 we expanded by adding a new unit to provide 49 places altogether and we are open all year round.

INSET days 2021

Our annual staff training days – INSET days – will take place Tuesday, 4th-Friday, 7th May 2021.

(The nursery will be closed Monday, 3rd May 2021 for Bank holiday.)

Our team will take part in training in First Aid (Paediatric and Outdoor Element for Forest School) and Safeguarding Training in order to refresh our certificates and update our knowledge.

Coronavirus Covid-19

We are open.

Our colleagues get weekly rapid testing, except those who had a positive PCR test in the last 3 months.

No vacancies for September 2020 - August 2021

Unfortunately, we are fully booked in all age groups and have no vacancies to accommodate new children.

There are already quite a few families on the waiting list therefore we cannot accept any more enquiries as there is no realistic chance for getting place.

We will be contacting parents on the waiting list to confirm places.

I want to say that it is with a heavy heart that we depart this nursery and our son has loved seeing everyone every day. We enjoyed the interaction and you have a really wonderful staff.

February 2018

Staff at Seedlings have always been nurturing and kind to our children, speaking calmly and clearly, using positive language to model and encourage behaviour they wish to see. We know that staff care about the well-being of our children which is something we particularly value due to their young age. The girls are encouraged to be respectful to staff and other children and enjoy playing alongside their peers. Both children have developed strong relationships with their respective key workers, which has been key to them settling quickly.

Summer 2018

We find the staff friendly, nurturing and focused on the children. We have been happy with the positivity shown by each and every member of staff …. We have also been really pleased with the settling in plans provided for both children, enabling me to feel confident in leaving both children with you on my return to work (a very emotional time!). The transition between different groups has also been planned and has gone smoothly and our daughter has always enjoyed the new group she has entered and we have always felt welcomed by both the staff and other parents. The overall community feel of the nursery is excellent and I have enjoyed getting to know other parents through your own events and away from the nursery.

I cannot begin to thank you all for the incredible love, car and support all the staff at Seedlings have given our daughter over the last few years.

She has absolutely loved being at Seedlings. We feel lucky to have fund such a fantastic nursery for our little girl to experience. I am alwasy filled with happiness when I pick her up and see her smiling, playing and always having fun.

Thank you in particular for helping her develop a taste for food other than plain pasta. thank you to all the staff who have looked after her.
